The Monk and the Gun é un filme butanés de 2023 escrito, coproducido e dirixido por Pawo Choyning Dorji.[4] Está protagonizado por Tandin Wangchuk, Deki Lhamo, Pema Zangmo Sherpa, Tandin Sonam, Harry Einhorn, Choeying Jatsho, Tandin Phubz, Yuphel Lhendup Selden e Kelsang Choejay.[5] É unha coprodución entre Bután, Francia, os Estados Unidos e Taiwán.[6]
Foi escollido como candidato de Bután para o Óscar ó mellor filme internacional na 96ª edición dos premios,[7] chegando a clasificarse na lista curta de decembro.[8]
