Unha townland, en inglés, ou baile fearainn, en irlandés, é unha división xeográfica territorial menor usada en Irlanda, é de orixe gaélica, anterior á invasión normanda[1][2][3][4] e a maioría dos nomes veñen do irlandés.[2] Así e todo hai algúns que proceden dos señoríos normandos ou son creacións posteriores do Ordnance Survey.[5][6]
