University of Eldoret be one of de 22 public universities insyd Kenya[1] wey e dey situate approximately 9 km along de Eldoret-Ziwa road insyd Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County. Na dem found am insyd 1946 by de white settlers as Large Scale Farmers Training Centre. Insyd 1984, na dem convert am to teachers’ training college wey dem rename am Moi Teachers’ Training College make e offer Diploma Science Teachers Training. Due to de double intake crisis, dem take over de college by Moi University as campus insyd 1990, wey dem rename am Chepkoilel Campus. From 1990, de university make am campus of Natural, Basic den Applied Science programmes.
Insyd August 2010, Presido Mwai Kibaki, thru Legal Notice No. 125 of 13 August 2010 upgrade de campus go University College plus de name Chepkoilel University College,[2] Constituent College of Moi University.[3] Upon de award of charter by de presido insyd March 2013, na dem rename de University College University of Eldoret.[4]
