Lyncornis adalah sebuah genus burung cabak dalam subfamili Eurostopodinae. Genus ini diperkenalkan pada tahun 1838 oleh ahli ornitologi asal Inggris, John Gould, dengan Lyncornis cerviniceps sebagai spesies tipenya.^[1] Takson ini sekarang dianggap sebagai subspesies dari burung cabak bertelinga besar (subfamili eurostopodinae).^[2] Namanya berasal dari gabungan bahasa Yunani Kuno antara lunx atau lunkos ("lynx") dengan ornis ("burung").^[3]
