The Lobster adalah film komedi hitam^[5] distopia absurdis internasional tahun 2015^[6][7] yang disutradarai, ditulis, dan diproduseri Yorgos Lanthimos, diproduseri Ceci Dempsy, Ed Guiney, dan Lee Magiday, dan ditulis oleh Efthimis Filippou. Dalam film ini, orang-orang lajang diberi waktu 45 hari untuk mencari jodoh atau diubah paksa menjadi hewan.^[8] Film ini dibintangi Colin Farrell yang memerankan seorang perjaka yang hendak mencari jodoh supaya bisa tetap hidup sebagai manusia dan Rachel Weisz yang memerankan seorang perempuan yang diincarnya. Film ini diproduksi bersama oleh Irlandia, Britania Raya, Yunani, Prancis, dan Belanda.

Film ini terpilih sebagai pesaing Palme d'Or di Festival Film Cannes 2015 dan memenangi Jury Prize. Film ini ditayangkan di sesi Special Presentations Festival Film Internasional Toronto 2015.^[9] Film ini juga mendapat nominasi Best Original Screenplay pada Academy Awards ke-89.
