Pula (Kod ISO 4217: BWP) ialah unit mata wang Botswana. Satu unit pula terbahagi kepada 100 thebe.
Mata wang ini diperkenalkan pada 23 Ogos 1976 menggantikan Rand Afrika Selatan yang pernah digunakan.[3] Nama mata wang tersebut dipilih berdasarkan undian ramai:[4] pula daripada perkataan bahasa Tswana bermaksud "hujan" lalu dikiaskan nilai berharganya kepada mata wang ini memandangkan negara Botswana banyak terliput bersama Gurun Kalahari[5][6] manakala unit bawahan thebe bermaksud "perisai",[7]
The new names pula and thebe were chosen following an invitation to the public to submit a their suggestions [...] The meaning of "thebe" is shield — the traditional means of defence.
Pula (rain) was an easy choice for the currency, and the decimal coins were called thebe (shield).(Memoirs of a former president of Botswana)
