The Undertaker (Houston (Texas), 24 maart 1965) — pseudoniem van Mark William Calaway — is een Amerikaans voormalig professioneel worstelaar die van 1990 tot 2020 actief was in de WWE en sedertdien zijn rol vervult als ambassadeur voor het bedrijf. The Undertaker staat bekend om zijn 21-0 winstreeks bij WrestleMania en is een 7-voudig WWE World Heavyweight Champion.[1][2] Hij wordt beschouwd als een van de meest invloedrijke professioneel worstelaars en wordt door velen gelauwerd als een van de grootste professioneel worstelaars aller tijden.[3][4][5]
The Undertaker bleef 21 edities ongeslagen bij het evenement WrestleMania, tot hij in 2014 door Brock Lesnar werd verslagen bij WrestleMania XXX.[6] Een tweede verlies kwam er tegen Roman Reigns bij WrestleMania 33 in 2017.[7] De teller van The Undertaker klokte af op 25-2 en zijn laatste overwinning tegen A.J. Styles dateert van 2020.[8] Hij is recordhouder wat betreft deelnames aan een Hell in a Cell match met veertien. Hij won acht maal en verloor zes maal.[9] The Undertaker won de Royal Rumble in 2007 [10], was met Kane oprichter van het tag team Brothers of Destruction [11] en is sinds 2000 net als Kane de enige worstelaar die een Tombstone Piledriver mag uitvoeren.[1]
The Undertaker werd in 2022 opgenomen in de WWE Hall of Fame.[12]
