Durin the first hauf o the 1980s,[1] a feck o baunds frae Ingland (Pagan Altar, Witchfinder General), the Unitit States (Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Trouble) an Swaden (Candlemass, Count Raven) defined doom metal as a distinct genre.
