The kelvin is a unit o meisur for temperatur based upon an absolute scale.[1] It is ane o the seiven base units in the Internaitional System o Units (SI) an is assigned the unit seembol K.[2] It wis named efter Varsity o Glesga ingineer an physicist William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin.[3]
