Melilla (Spaingie pronunciation: [meˈliʎa]) is a wee autonomous ceety o Spain. It is an exclave on the north coast o Morocco, wi an aurie o 12.3 square kilometre (4.7 sq mi). Melilla, alang wi the Spaingie exclave Ceuta, is ane o the twa Spaingie territories locatit in mainland Africae. It wis regardit as a pairt o the province o Málaga prior tae 14 Mairch 1995, when the ceety's Statute o Autonomy wis passed.
