Agassiz, British Columbia is a community in the Eastern Fraser Valley, British Columbia that is about 97 kilometres (60 mi) east from Vancouver and 24 kilometres (15 mi) northeast from City of Chilliwack. It was named after Lewis Nunn Agassiz, which is part of the Agassiz family. Most people in the District of Kent lives in the Agassiz area.
