Annastacia Palaszczuk (/ˈpæləʃ/ (audio speaker iconlisten) PAL-ə-shay,[3][4] born 25 July 1969) is an Australian politician. She served as the 39th Premier of Queensland from February 2015 until she resigned in December 2023.[5] She was the leader of the Queensland Labor Party from March 2012 until December 2023. She served as a minister in a number of positions in Anna Bligh's government. She served as the member of the Parliament of Queensland for Inala from 2006 until her resignation.

Palaszczuk was born in Durack, Brisbane, Queensland. Her father, Henry Palaszczuk, is a veteran Labor MP from Queensland. She has Polish and German ancestry. She is twice divorced.
