David George "Dave" Reichert (/ˈraɪkərt/; born August 29, 1950) is an American politician. He was the U.S. Representative for Washington's 8th district serving from 2005 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party.
In June 2023, Reichert filed paperwork to run for Governor of Washington in 2024.[1][2] He lost the election to state attorney general Bob Ferguson in November 2024.
