Drax the Destroyer, often referred to simply as Drax, is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), portrayed by actor Dave Bautista. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, he first appears in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), directed by James Gunn, and is known for his literal interpretation of language, lack of understanding of metaphors, and a desire for vengeance against Ronan the Accuser, who killed his family.
