The Everglades is a flat tropical river and mangrove swamp. It is in the southern part of Florida near the city of Miami.

The Everglades is a tropical river delta which runs slowly through a low-lying basin near sea level. Many plants and animals live there. It is the only place in the world where crocodiles and alligators live together.

It is a National Park and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.[1]
