Kailash Satyarthi (born 11 January 1954) is an Indian children's rights activist.[1] He founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement) in 1980. He has acted to protect the rights of 80,000 children.[2][3]
He was awarded the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, along with Malala Yousafzai, "for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education".[4][5]
