Loki Laufeyson, also known by adoption as Loki Odinson and by his title as the God of Mischief, is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, in turn based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name, Loki is portrayed by actor Tom Hiddleston. He is the adopted brother of Thor and the god of mischief. Throughout the MCU movies, Loki has been depicted as a complex character who sometimes allies himself with his family and the Avengers, but often serves his own interests, leading to conflicts and betrayals. He is known for his wit, cunning, and ability to shape-shift.
