macOS Big Sur (version 11.0) is the seventeenth major version of macOS, Apple Inc.'s desktop operating system for Macintosh computers. It is the successor to macOS Catalina. macOS Big Sur was announced at WWDC 2020 on June 3, 2020.[3]
