Metal Gear is an action-adventure stealth video game. It was both developed and published by Konami. The director and designer for the game was Hideo Kojima and it was his video game. It is the first video game in the Metal Gear series.
The game was first released for the MSX2 home computer on July 13, 1987.[1] It would later be released on the Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System on December 22, 1987,[2] the Commodore 64 in 1989, the MS-DOS on August 30, 1990, the GameCube on March 11, 2004, and on mobile on August 18, 2004.
