The Mexican Navy (in Spanish: Armada de México) is the naval forces of Mexico and depends on the Navy Secretariat (SEMAR). It was founded on February 19, 1821. It is in charge of the protection of the Coasts of Mexico and the Exclusive Economic Zone.[2]

In addition to dedicating themselves to the protection of the coasts, they are also dedicated to the protection of rivers and waterways.[3]
