James Stephen "Jimmy " Donaldson [ b] (born May 7, 1998), more commonly known as MrBeast , is an American YouTuber . He is known for his expensive stunts and philanthropy .[ 13] He is the most subscribed creator on YouTube , passing T-Series on June 1, 2024.[ 14] He has been seen as the creator of a new genre of YouTube videos that are expensive stunts.[ 15]
He is also the co-creator of Team Trees , a fundraiser for the Arbor Day Foundation which has raised over $24 million,[ 16] [ 17] and Team Seas , a fundraiser for Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup.[ 18]
