Nelida "Nellie" Avila Pou[1] (/poʊ/ POH;[2] born May 20, 1956) is an American Democratic politician. She is the U.S. Representative from New Jersey’s 9th congressional district since 2025. Pou was a member of the New Jersey Senate from 2012 to 2025 and the New Jersey General Assembly from 1997 to 2012.[3]
