Second Temple

The Second Temple (Hebrew: בית המקדש, Holy House) was the reconstructed Temple in Jerusalem which stood between 516 BC and 70 AD. It is also known as the Herod's Temple. Back then, it was the center of Jewish worship. The Romans burned down Jerusalem and its Second Temple on August 4, 70 AD after crushing a Jewish revolt against their colonial rule.^[1][2]
