Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire is a third-person shooter video game. It was published by Nintendo, with LucasArts doing publishing for the PC version. It was developed by LucasArts.[1]

The game was released on December 2, 1996 in North America and on March 1, 1997 in Europe for the Nintendo 64. It was also released on September 9, 1997 in North America and on February 3, 1998 for the Windows.[2]

In the game, the player plays as Dash Rendar, a mercenary. The player fights through enemies to eventually try and defeat Dark Prince Xizor, the leader of a criminal organization.[3]
