Star Wars: Battlefront II is both a third-person and first-person shooter video game. It was published by LucasArts and was developed by Pandemic Studios.[1] The game was released on October 28, 2005 in Europe and on November 1, 2005 in North America for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Windows, Xbox.[2][3]
It is the sequel to the 2004 game Star Wars: Battlefront. A reboot of the same name was released on November 17, 2015.[4] On March 14, 2024, Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection was released. It was a compilation of both the original Battlefront and Battlefront II.[5]
The game's campaign mode follows the 501st Legion from the First Battle of Geonosis to the Battle of Hoth.[6] Players can play as a member of one of the four main factions in the prequel and the classic movie trilogies. The factions that the player can choose from are the Galactic Republic, Confederacy of Independent Systems, Rebel Alliance, and the Galactic Empire. There are also six classes to choose from. The player travels to different planets and fights enemies.[7]
