Student of the Year 2 is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language teen romantic comedy drama movie directed by Punit Malhotra. This movie is a stand-alone sequel to Student of the Year, which was released in 2012, and stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, and Ananya Panday in lead roles. Aditya Seal and Harsh Beniwal play the supporting roles. The movie marks the debuts of Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday. In this film, Rohan (Tiger Shroff) follows his lover, Mridula (Tara Sutaria), to St Teresa's college hoping to reunite with her. There, he befriends Manav (Aditya Seal), the most popular student, but is constantly at loggerheads with his sister, Shreya (Ananya Panday).

The movie released on May 10, 2019 and opened to negative reviews. However, the movie was somewhat successful at the box office.^[4] It was mainly due to Tiger Shroff's action sequences being credited well. Panday and Sutaria were also credited well for their debuts and won multiple awards.
