The Tamang prople are an indigenous Tibetano-Burmese-speaking ethnic tribal group from Nepal, who migrated from tibet to Nepal in 12th-13th century, they are the last ethnic group who migrated to Nepal from tibet. In Nepal, Tamang/Moormi people make for 1.539,830 persons, or 5.6% of the country's total population, up from 1.3 million in 2001.[5]
