Tamworth is a city in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. It has a population of just over 42,000. Tamworth is famous for its country music festival held every year in January. It's the second biggest country music festival in the world. It was the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to have electric street lights. There are passenger trains to and from Sydney or Armidale and buses to and from Inverell.[2]
