The up antiquark, also known as the antiup quark, is the antiparticle of the up quark. The main difference between the two is that some of their properties, such as charge, have the same magnitude but opposite sign.
Here are some other properties of antiquarks:
Quarks and antiquarks are the building blocks of protons and are bound together by the strong force. The up quark and down quark make up protons and neutrons and are the quarks observed in ordinary matter. The up quark is the lightest quark, with a mass of 1.5–5 MeV.
