Vestland is a county in Norway that was created on 1 January 2020.[ 1] [ 2] The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen .
History: The island Selja (in Stad ) has ruins of the monastery Selje kloster ; It was built in the 12th century ; It became the first bishopry in Norway; The bishopry was moved to Bergen (1170).[ 3]
