Playing in the Shadows je tretí štúdiový album britského hudobnka Example, ktorý bol vydaný dňa 4. septembra 2011 vydavateľstvom Ministry of Sound.^[1] Počas rozhovoru Example uviedol, že album bude tanečne orientovaný, hoci hudba je viac zameraná na žánre electronica a dubstep.

Vydaniu albumu predchádzali dva single, „Changed the Way You Kiss Me“ a „Stay Awake“, pričom oba dosiahli 1. miesto v rebríčku UK Singles Chart. Tretí singel, „Natural Disaster“, na ktorom spolupracoval Laidback Luke bude vydaný 16. októbra 2011.
