Bangladesh Islami Chhatri Sangstha (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ ইসলামী ছাত্রী সংস্থা, lit. 'Bangladesh Islamic Students Association')[3] is the female student wing of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.[4][5][6]
Just like Islami Chhatra Shibir which is Jamaat's male student wing, Chhatri Sangstha also has various committees in schools, colleges, and madrasas, as well as in public and private universities, medical colleges, thanas, districts, and metropolitan areas.[7]
The group reportedly had 8,000 members & supporters and 112 units throughout the country.[2]
The group was under severe pressure during then ruling Awami League regime since 2009.[8]
