Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Emma Tammi. It is the first sequel to the 2023 film Five Nights at Freddy's and the second installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's film series. The film is based on the Five Nights at Freddy's video game series created by Scott Cawthon. The film stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard, reprising their roles from the previous film.
Cawthon stated in August 2018 that there could be a second Five Nights at Freddy's film following the events of the second game if the first film were successful. Hutcherson revealed the development of a sequel in January 2024, with Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions officially confirming it three months later. Principal photography began in November 2024.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is scheduled to be released in the United States by Universal Pictures on December 5, 2025.
