Gorontalo people, also known as Gorontalese,[2][3] are an Austronesian ethnic group native to Gorontalo province. The Gorontalo people have traditionally been concentrated in the provinces of Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, and the northern part of Central Sulawesi.[4]

The Gorontalo people are predominantly Muslim.[5] Their native language is the Gorontalo language and several minor languages from the Gorontalic languages family.
