Mohammad Tajul Islam (Bengali: মোহাম্মদ তাজুল ইসলাম) is a Bangladeshi lawyer at the Bangladesh Supreme Court,[1] currently serving as the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal,[2] which was established to prosecute crimes against humanity committed during the 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh. He was appointed to this position on September 7, 2024, by the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs.[3] Before this role, he worked as a defense lawyer at the same tribunal.[4][5][6]
