Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Moldova accepted Ukrainian refugees,[1] opened a bank account for donations,[2] and unofficially imposed sanctions on Russia.[3]
They also, Moldova declared a 60-day state of emergency and fully closed its airspace for a week.[4][5]
Although the war has spilled over into Moldova on multiple occasions, it is not a belligerent and is officially neutral.[6]
