Nils Petersen (German pronunciation: [ˈniːls ˈpeːtɐzn̩, ˈnɪls -];[2] born 6 December 1988) is a German former professional footballer who played as a forward. He appeared in the 2016 Summer Olympics and remains the first and only German footballer who has scored five goals in a single game with the national team.[3]
